Favourite Live-Action Adaptation
I don't think I have one! I don't think there are any actually good DC live-action movies/tv shows! I mean, Adam West Batman is camp and hilarious, as is Lynda Carter Wonder Woman, and the Nolan movies at least try to be clever, but... Yeah. I don't know if there are any I actually like?
BATMAN RETURNS. How could I forget Batman Returns?! You know that thing in But I'm A Cheerleader (what do you mean you haven't seen But I'm A Cheerleader, go do that right now) about "finding your root"? THAT MOVIE IS DEFINITELY MINE. First thing I remember seeing in theatres! EXPLAINS EVERYTHING.
I mean. It's not actually any better than any other live-action Batman, objectively! But Michelle Pfeiffer is my Catwoman, always and forever. I am usually indifferent to Selina and to their stupid relationship, but oh man in that movie they are amazing *____* They are simultaneously perfectly matched and horrifically wrong for each other!
Although except for the sexual harassment and the infanticide, I spend most of the movie sympathising with the Penguin. That is I think the problem with Batman movies-- The villains are always more interesting than Batman himself. ("You're just jealous because I'm a real freak and you have to wear a mask" hits the nail right on the head, though. Most of the dialogue in Batman Returns is admittedly the bad kind of cheesy but I will never not love that line.)
