Thank you for signing up to bring some much-needed joy into the world!

I get migraines, so please try to avoid strobing/split second cuts. I prefer vids with lyrics that I can understand, so, in English or French, but I'm not at all picky about music genre.

FANDOMS: The Oracle Code (Graphic Novel), Re-Animator (Movies), El caballero del dragón | Star Knight (1985) [SAFETY], The Masque of the Red Death (1964) [SAFETY], Shadow of the Batgirl (Graphic Novel), The Cold | The Game (1984) [SAFETY], Doom Patrol (TV), Jakob's Wife (2021) [SAFETY]

SPECIFIC DETAILS TBA WHEN I DONT HAVE A HEADACHE.
NO THANKS: Nazis/Nazi imagery, eye gore, sexual assault, lobotomy, parasites. (Where these things occur in canon, mention of them is ok but please don't linger on them.) I have 'institutional horror' requested for Doom Patrol where it's a key part of several characters' backstories, but would like to avoid it in other fandoms.

YES PLEASE: Trans headcanons, Jewish headcanons, blood/gore, knives, hauntings, alive character/ghost character sex/romance, human/monster sex/romance, consensual sexy body horror, D/s vibes, characters wearing their partner's clothes, tragic endings, usually-restrained characters finally going apeshit.

Honestly, these are all fandoms/characters where I would love basically anything, so I have no specific prompts to list.

comments

No! I can't! I can't write fiction to save my life! I have a lot of plot ideas but I have no idea how one takes a story concept out of their brain and makes it into a functioning piece of literature and I am in endless awe of people who can do that thing, and do it well! The craft of fiction is basically wizardry to me!

I'm currently working on my second graduate degree, though, so obviously I can write non-fiction, but more often than not it's like wringing blood out of a stone. I basically have to do all my writing stream-of-consciousness, write the section of the paper I can currently get the ADHD brain to pay attention to, and then organise the resulting paragraphs once I reach the required word count. The end result is usually pretty good, which has led many people over the course of my life to assume that I enjoy writing. But I don't, it's hard and it's stressful and I would much prefer to talk my ideas out loud. I've come to actually love giving presentations, which would greatly shock my child and teen past selves, especially if you got me young enough that I hadn't figured out yet that writing was definitely not my ideal form of expression.

(For the record, I'm pretty sure my ideal form of expression is vids)

comments

General notes: I prefer music with lyrics, in English or French, but other than that I'm okay with any genre/era of music that speaks to you! I have photosensitive migraines so please try to avoid split-second cuts/strobe effects.

Fire And Hemlock/Time of the Ghost: Interested in any attempt to visualise either or both of these, particularly with a focus on the 'recovered memories' aspect of both books

Death Race 2050: I wholeheartedly and non-ironically love this film. I'd be happy with pretty much anything, although I would prefer not to receive a vid focused primarily on Jed or Tammy.

House On Haunted Hill: This film's writing is.... fairly bananas, but the acting and cinematography save it/make it fun vid fodder! I'd love a focus on the Lorens and/or Eleanor, but anything at all will be gratefully appreciated!

It Came From Beneath The Sea: Professor Joyce is maybe the best character in any 50s monster movie? Anything about her, or about her relationship with Pete and Dr. Carter (ot3!!!) would be lovely.

Rock'N'Roll High School: Riff/Kate or gen wacky hijinks with minimal Tom/Kate, please! This movie is so much fun to vid, I hope you enjoy the experience as much as I have.

Norma Rae: I'd be equally delighted by a serious take on Norma's journey into activism or a vid wallowing in Norma and Reuben's unresolved romantic tension (or both!)

I, Tonya: As a longtime Tonya Harding apologist, I felt like this film was made for me specifically. I'd love anything you did with this, especially a focus on Margot Robbie and Alison Janney's incredible performances.

comments

I too used to make 'Sarah's an idiot for giving up on the chance to have David Bowie be in love with you' jokes when I was Sarah's age and I'm quietly horrified by that now. He's a powerful, predatory adult and Sarah is an incredible heroine for being able to see through his manipulation by the end. I knew I wanted a song with a whimsical hippie feel but with that undercurrent of strength and bitterness, so early Joni seemed the obvious place to go.

comments
