I forget whether this is a thing people know about me but: I watch figure skating and it gives me a lot of feelings; this comes of being raised on Browning and Orser and Stojko and Witt and Brasseur & Eisler and Bourne & Kraatz.
So for the ten years that it's been a thing, I've suggested that we go to Stars on Ice Canada. This year mom actually said yes.
• how is kurt browning? twenty five years and he is still ACTUALLY AMAZING i don’t understand
• joannie is beautiful and magical, she quit competing at exactly the right time, and she should skate in shiny catsuits forever
• does shawn sawyer have a human skeleton
• BACKFLIPS REMEMBER BACKFLIPS shawn sawyer does
• best i’ve seen jeff buttle skate pretty much ever, good for you jeff
• ashley wagner did tightrope in a spangly dress it was REALLY GOOD?? i’m not her biggest fan but she was great i don’t think there are bones in her arms
• jeremy abbot fell oh god oh god i hate watching people fall BUT HE GOT UP AND MADE IT LOOK LIKE HE HAD DONE IT IN PURPOSE well done sir
•weaver & poje: SO GOOD it’s a shame that they’re up against impossibly perfect competition?
• they are the wing & lowe to tessa and scott’s bourne and kraatz
• this is an analogy that makes sense in my head
• “select cities” DID include us so: meryl and charlie! theirs was understated tbh, it looked like it could be an actual program with a bit of tweaking. I WANTED NONSENSE. SONGS WITH LYRICS
• cynthia phaneuf didn’t show up in act one and i was afraid she wasn’t there, but then she was! which was good!
• and her song was in french but i understood most of the lyrics, good for me
• no but for real how is kurt browning
• he directed and choreographed the whole thing, too
• and then: surprise brian orser in the audience?
• BUT
• MOST IMPORTANTLY
• TESSA AND SCOTT????
• perfect humans

• they just know each other so WELL they're more in tune with one another than most people are with their own SELVES
