This was a love-letter to a fandom I'm not really in anymore. I made myself cry almost constantly while working on it, so I'm glad from the comments that other people feel the same. I didn't think I still cared this much about these films but I proved myself so, so wrong. Clipping was a nightmare, even after I decided there was no possible way to do a whole-trilogy vid. I hadn't watched any of the special features in literally ages and I had forgotten exactly how much there is!

I'm super fucking proud of this thing, all five-plus minutes of it.

Augh this is so perfect. I just finished rewatching all the film appendices on a LOTR binge and I wept through the ending of them and then wept again at this vid. It's crazy how one can get so emotionally invested in the making of the movie, aside from the movie itself, but they were all so easy to fall in love with.

You should be proud! This is one of the highlights of Festivids for me this year. Pulled me back into a side of this fandom I'd nearly forgotten I had such strong feelings for. :)

Oh, wow. My heart! This is such a fantastic nostalgiabomb of a vid, and it makes me so bittersweetly happy. (And now I want to embark on a marathon rewatch, of course.)

There is just no way, no matter how hard I try, to watch this vid without bursting into tears at some point. This is such a beautiful and heartbreaking vid but also at the same time such a happy vid. It was the end of an era but what an era it was. And I for one had the time of my life in this fandom. Thank you for reminding me (and all the rest of us) for what a beautiful and exciting, not to mention emotional, time of our lives this fandom was (and for some continues to be). <3
