gwenfrankenstien: Cartoon version of Mattell's Frankie Stein doll, the teen daughter of Frankenstein's monster (stick boy and match girl)
So remember the other day I had ~feelings~ about Tim Burton, and a whole big chunk of the post was about his beautiful epic career-spanning collaboration with Danny Elfman?

WELL UH. This exists. (Well, will exist.)

One-in-a-thousand limited-edition music box with unseen Burton art, sixteen-CD-set with 7 hours of unreleased music, plus a 250 page coffee table book, a fancy skeleton-shaped flash drive, and a DVD of them talking about their collaboration.

THERE IS NO WAY THERE ARE A THOUSAND PEOPLE IN THE WORLD WHO DESERVE THIS MORE THAN ME, YOU GUYS. BRB finding five hundred dollars somehow.

(OMG OMG OMG)

The fact that this is even a thing that exists in the world makes me possibly happier than the film itself ever could. Let me just say, if this movie had existed when I was a kid I would be a very different person today.

In conclusion, I am ridiculous and my taste in films has not changed all that much since I was fifteen. Or twelve. Or five, for that matter.

Okay, I've calmed down from the rage/hurt I was feeling last night and this morning, [livejournal.com profile] chavamara should be here soon for the Watching of the Films, I remembered to eat breakfast and lunch today...

I think it's time for an art post.

Today [livejournal.com profile] lufwood_emilius joined me for Batman, because she is an excellent person like that! Her Thoughts were mostly inside jokes about the Great Mouse Detective, though, so they don't particularly feature prominently in my analysis.

Tomorrow: Batman Returns & Nightmare Before Christmas!

So uh I made the excellent and not at all ridiculous and timewasty decision to spend Reading Week watching through every Tim Burton film, in order, and sharing my Thoughts with the Internet. (Because the Internet totally cares.) Anyone who's in TO right now and wants to partake in these shenanigans, let me know?

Tomorrow, 1989 Batman and Edward Scissorhands!
