More Joy Day 2010: Birds of Prey picspam
Jan. 14th, 2010 12:24 pmNothing says "More Joy" like "Birds of Prey Relaunch," but that was yesterday. So I think it is time to talk about why BoP is the greatest! And by "talk about" I mean "post a gazillion pictures of." Not even remotely dial-up friendly.)

( It's Black Canary putting her boot in bad guys' faces and the Huntress taking no *&^% from anyone and Oracle being smarter than anyone else in Gotham. )

Happiness: Secret Six #13
Sep. 12th, 2009 07:00 pmI think, when I am less tired, I'm going to draw Bella eating and Bella with an animal for the picspam-meme. But not now. Now I am going to talk about happy things!
1. Post about something that made you happy today, even if it's just a small thing.
2. Do this every day for eight days without fail.
SECRET SIX. Okay, everybody who cares has probably read this already, but I just got this week's comics, so. My boss: "Do you always giggle when you read your comics? ...Oh, it's Secret Six." It is absolutely my favourite thing DC is publishing right now, and that includes Tiny Titans. Ragdoll is never not funny. And Scandal Savage made # 7 on my top 10 female comics characters ever, but this issue made me want to bump her up a place or two. (Also it made me seriously consider cosplaying as her? Eugh, but her costume would take, like, effort and stuff.)
Basically what I want to say is, everybody should be reading Secret Six. It's horrible and depraved and still has a sense of humour. I'm particularly fond of the issue where they hijack an ice-cream truck and drive it to Vegas. And the villain reveal at the end of the first ongoing arc. And the Tiny Titans parody. And, okay, everything. If you like hilarious comics about terrible people doing terrible things, you should definitely be buying this book.
