Now, I haven't watched the new My Little Pony cartoon yet. But I am beginning to suspect I am the only person on tumblr who hasn't. (And I plan on watching as soon as I finish school for the term.)

However, today I accidentally doodled the Monster High girls as ponies. Which is the closest to productive I've been in nearly two months, art-wise.

( Fashion dolls who are also ponies, making this the girliest thing I have drawn since I was eight years old. )

This here is Frankie Stein, sassy teenage daughter of Frankenstein's Monster (and presumably the Bride, given her hair.) She's from Mattel's Monster High doll line, which are stupidly hard to find here so I don't actually own her. Yet.

If you read my tumblr you know all about me and these dolls, but like... I found out about them over the summer and sat there quietly obsessing and not sharing any of it because fashion dolls, what a stupid girly thing to be fannish about, amirite? So, part of my long-running efforts to get over my weird issues with femininity: Admitting that sometimes, I fucking love dollies.

Especially sassy teen monster dollies.
